It may be that I didn't notice before, but I used the Fitbit app's built-in run tracker instead of Runkeeper yesterday, for the first time in several months, as I'd seen a notification that it'd been updated.

It's much improved on the desktop and I think I might have to use this going forward instead of Runkeeper. The app now provides (similar to Runkeeper):

  • GPS tracking overlayed on a map
  • Elevation
  • Audio cues (distance/time/average pace)
  • Where you hit each kilometre
  • Distance
  • Time
  • Pace
  • Heart rate (all in one place rather than having to manually enter into Runkeeper!)
  • Calories

I've added an image below from yesterday's short, but fast (for me) run.

One less app to use!
